Dubai: Fresh leaks surrounding Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 8 suggest the company is planning meaningful upgrades aimed at fixing long-standing foldable phone issues. Early reports point to design tweaks, better battery life, and the possible return of the S Pen all signs that Samsung is listening closely to user feedback.
According to leaks shared by Mirror Pro’s YouTube channel, along with reports from ET News and Demon’s Tech, mentioned by Gulf News. Samsung’s next foldable could arrive with changes that improve everyday usability rather than flashy experiments.
Leaks indicate Samsung may introduce two versions of the Galaxy Z Fold 8. Alongside the regular model, a wider variant is rumored, featuring a 4:3 aspect ratio.
The inner display on this wider version is said to measure 7.6 inches, slightly smaller than the Fold 7, but better optimized for video playback. The redesigned proportions could reduce the black bars users often see while watching videos on current Fold models.
Meanwhile, the 5.4-inch outer screen is expected to focus on quick tasks like notifications, calls, and messages, making the device more practical when folded.
Battery life has always been a weak spot for foldable phones. The Galaxy Z Fold 8 may finally address this with a 5,000mAh battery, up from the Fold 7’s 4,400mAh.
This upgrade could make a noticeable difference for heavy users who multitask, stream videos, or rely on productivity apps throughout the day.
Another major improvement could be a less visible screen crease. Reports suggest Samsung is testing laser drilling technology on the metal plate beneath the display to create a smoother fold.
A reduced crease would significantly improve reading, browsing, and media consumption especially as competition in the foldable market heats up.
Samsung removed S Pen support from the Fold 7 to keep the phone slimmer, but many users weren’t happy. Leaks now hint that the S Pen could make a comeback with the Fold 8 a welcome move for users who rely on note-taking, sketching, and productivity tools.
If these leaks prove accurate, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 could be Samsung’s most refined foldable yet. With better battery life, improved screen design, and potential S Pen support, it appears to be a more balanced and user-focused upgrade rather than a risky redesign.
